How to end your day – Evening routines – Clean kitchen

I always end my day with a clean kitchen. I wash my stove top, literally wash it with soap and sponge, getting rid of those sticky oil and splash.

Wash all the dishes. Wash my sink. Wipe clean the fridge with vinegar spray. Wipe clean the dining table and chairs with vinegar spray. Wipe clean the countertop, cabinets (top and bottom), and microwave with vinegar spray. And I sweep the floor.

Everybody in the house seems to no longer mind with the smell of vinegar, coz it really help my kitchen clean and fresh. I have an open kitchen, so flies/cockroaches/rats are easily attracted to it, but thanks to my vinegar spray, I have no problem with them at all.

I make sure tomorrow morning, when I need to prep the boys for school, I don’t get irritated by the messiness of the kitchen. I need to start the day in a right way or I’ll be a nagging old lady the whole day.

What is your evening routines?

Home Organization – Declutter, Purge, Organize – CD Collection

Hi…

Welcome back 😘

Hit the ‘follow’ button if you haven’t already 😘

Today I have time and the mood of doing some purging and organization, so I decided to take control of our CD collection. We have hundreds of CDs.

We love watching movies. We used to race to the cinema for premiers and then we buy the CD to watch again at home. Such a waste 🙄 Cinemas are expensive and we have to pay 4 tickets and only 2 tickets if it’s only me and hubby, but still… With buying snacks and drinks, it double up the cost 😰

Now it’s been months since the last time we went to cinema, so we end up stocking up our collection before I have the chance to purge and reorganize them.

It’s summer, the kids have no school for almost 2 months 😪 I think it’s time to watch some old movies. But first… Let’s get working 😎

It’ll get worst before it gets better 😁

Who’s still in love with Friends??? I have complete season 1-10, still watch them for the hundreds times, and still laugh like it’s my first 😂 I don’t think there’s no competition after all this years. They’re still the best 👌

I use this CD sleeves to maximize space. I don’t keep the picture coz the CD have the title anyway and I always can reuse it for other movies. It is 2 sided so it’s perfect for series. And of course coz it’s cheap. 100 sleeves for only IDR 17k.

Trash. I’ve decided to change the paper CD envelope to the sleeve’s one coz papers got torn easily.

I clean up the space with water and vinegar spray as always 😉

Final product 👌

1. A box of our essentials. Kajuputih, nail clippers, vaporub, cotton buds, mosquito repellent, etc. It’s the box that we go to everyday.

2. A box of cables and chargers for our gadgets.

3. CD music collection.

4. The kid’s movies.

5. Adult’s movies. New movies + TV series collection.

6. Adult’s movies. Thriller and horror.

7. Adult’s movies. Action movies.

8. Adult’s movies. Drama, comedy, true story.

Nothing’s too complicated. But if it’s organized, it’s easier for us to look for a movie rather than spending a lot of time looking through hundreds of CDs.

How’s your movie collection? It’s summer. Time for some old movies 😉

Home Organization – Coat Corner – Launch Pad

Hi…

Welcome back! 😘

Please hit the ‘follow’ button if you haven’t already 😘

I want to show you my new arrangement on the coats. We have a launch pad at the entryway. I will have a different post on that.

It’s behind our front door. It’s out of the way, hidden, yet easy to access.

I bought a cheap plastic hooks. Broken in weeks 😰 I had 5 hooks, to 4, to 3, to 2, to 1, to no hooks and I had to hung the coats in the shoes closet handle 😨

So hubby, was working on something and tadaaaaa… We have a coat corner 👏

He’s using kitchen rod and S hangers used to hang pans and pots in our old apartment 😁

The S hangers are really handy. I can take it out and hook it again, depends on how many coats we have that week.

Reuse and repurpose 👌 No money spent 👍

Do you have something to organize? Shop your house 😉

Graduation Series – Book Cleaning & Purge

Abe is now going to Primary School, so he definitely doesn’t need those books and papers anymore.

It’s time to clean up and purge. Come along with me 🤓

I’m gonna check on notebooks that can be reuse, books that are going to be handed down to Al, some crafts to keep in the kid’s memorabilia box, and books to donate.

The chaos…

These are the books to keep for Al.

These are the Abe’s tests from grade 4-6.

I’m gonna keep it for Al. I put it in a bag so it won’t get dusty.

These are the notebooks.

I sure not buying anymore notebooks. I’m gonna buy some plastic cover for it and the kids are gonna reuse it. I cut all the written pages, so it’s clean to reuse.

Donating these. I’m gonna give some preschool and kindergarten books to my niece.

These are the clean pages I cut from books.

I’m gonna use it for my binders or clip them for the kid’s notes. Certainly not wasting anything 👍

These are trash.

The end product.

For now, I’m gonna leave it like that. Waiting for Al to finish his final exams, so I can get to a thorough cleaning up.

That’s it for now. I will come back with the next cleaning and purging Al’s books. And will definitely take you to join my back to school preparation.

Please hit the ‘follow’ button so you don’t miss all the fun 😍

Clean, purge, organize with me – Vanity

Hi…

Welcome back 😘

Please hit the ‘follow’ button if you haven’t already, I’d love to have you join my blog family 💞

Come and join me cleaning out my vanity which has transformed to a junk drawer 😌

I’m gonna clear my drawer and my head with a cup of latte ☕

1st let me clear up the drawer. Take everything out. Everything.

Gosh… Embarrassing 😑

Pour everything out.

I clean the drawer and the organizing trays with my vinegar spray.

I wipe all of my make up put everything back. I have this cutlery tray already, not using it in the new house, so I use it to store my eyebrow pencil, mascara, eyeliner, lipsticks, brushes, and perfume vials.

I use this kitchen tray to keep all of my eyeshadows, hairbands, mirror, blushes, Makarizo hair mask and my Neutrogena Microdermabrasion pads. I’m gonna post a review on Neutrogena Microdermabrasion which I love so so very much. Been having it and using it for almost 7 years now.

I keep my nail polishes in this plastic soup bowl from one restaurant, I can’t even remember where 😑

Another bowl of nail cutter and nail gadgets, I don’t know what to call them 😁

I also keep my powerbank and earpeace in the drawer coz I’d like to do my Bible journaling every morning on my vanity. And that Blackberry cover is just there coz I sent the phone for service.

Throw these. Clinique mascara, Maybelline mascara, and March’s compact powder. Both mascara are dried out and the powder is really about my hardheaded thing. My skin is very sensitive and extremely oily. I can’t wear a powder without blotting. I always experience powder failure episodes of beauty expert wannabe, yet I constantly repeating the same procedure of buying and throwing powders 😌

Like I said… Vanity to junk drawer 😝

This is how I organize my vanity drawer. I don’t have a bunch collection of makeup. I only keep what I use.

One thing about staying organized and clutter free is to keep your collection as minimal as possible. Keep only what you use. If you need to wear makeup everyday then buy an eyeshadow pallet that has both natural and pop colors in 1 pallet. And you don’t need 15 colors of lipsticks. Choose 2-5 colors that you would actually wear, coz I don’t think black lipstick is proper for your business meetings.

I hope this will inspire and motivate you to start cleaning and organize your vanity and look at your makeup collection. If you don’t use them for months, toss them, give it to someone else, coz they’ll go bad anyway. There’s no need to hold on to those and create more clutter.

Clean, purge, and organize with me – DITL

Hi…

Welcome back! And hit the ‘follow’ button if you haven’t 😎 I’d love to have you join my blog family 💞

Today I have a busy Saturday 😄

And I want you to join me 😘

10.20 the kids start to strip off the bed sheets and I do the day bed. I put them straight in the washing machine.

Then me and Abe flip the bed, sprinkle some baking soda, let them sit for 10-20 minutes.

That is my last pack of baking soda 😔 Gotta buy more. I only find that brand from online shop, hopefully the price is steady 🙏 I bought 3 packs and last me about 6 months. I didn’t do much vacuuming at the rental house. Let’s see how long it last me in the new house, since I have my cleaning all scheduled.

Then, Abe help me with vacuuming the pillows and bolsters.

And I saw the sofa. Well… The vacuum is out, why don’t I vacuum the sofa? You’ll be amazed by what you find when you decided to vacuum the sofa.

I’ve been looking for that scissor for days 😪 Again, Abe help me 😘

Now, it’s Al’s turn to help me 😁

After I vacuum, the boys put on their bed sheets. They take a rest while I continue working on my own bed. Same routine. Abe help me flip my bed. And btw… Our beds are all pretty heavy 😌 Today we do 4 beds 😬

I finished doing beds about 12.30pm. Now I move to the next task, clothes time tab. This task includes cleaning out the closets, declutter, and organizing.

1st, let me enlighten you about my clothes time tab idea. So, it’s basically keeping half of your clothing in the storage and half in the closet. You’re gonna switch them every 3 months. The idea is that you don’t make your closet jam packed by all your clothes when you only wears the clothes that are within your reach. The rest of them? Crumpled and dusty 😪

Ok, as usual, I do the kids 1st.

I take out all of their clothes and they clean the closet.

These are their clothes for 3 months.

I sorted them. Which to keep, which to donate. After I sorted them all. I took the luggages.

Then I organize them all in the closet. They have a set of ‘new’ clothes for the next 3 months 😁 The Best part of it is that when they see the shirt or a pant of their fav, their eyes sparkled “Hey mom, I missed this shirt!” 😁

And a pile of clothes to donate.

The kid’s are done! Now, my turn 😌

I started the whole process again. I took out all of my clothes, clean the top, the wall, the rod, and the floor.

Scattered all over my bedroom 😬

I also have a whole ‘new’ set of clothes 😁

I have piles of tops but only have 3 pairs of jeans, some leggings and those dresses. So, I only time tab my tops. I put back the dress, jeans and leggings.

I vacuumed all of the clothes and put them inside the luggages. Vacuum bags are very helpful. They save space. I can put 2-4 bags in 1 luggage.

Then finally all the cleaning and decluttering part has finished. Now the organizing part.

Everything is the same as my WALKING CLOSET TOUR except for the bags that are used to be hanged next to the pants. Since my house is so humid, the bags are all covered with fungus 😭 The leather are getting bad. I already thrown 2 bags coz the leather are cracked 😭 I’m not gonna lose the others. So, I put them all back in their dust bags and put them on the top shelf. And I hang my tank tops at the bottom rod for easy access since this set of clothing are mostly summer collection.

I have these bags for donations.

I finished all at about 4pm 😌

Gosh… I’m so exhausted but happy that I got it all covered 😁

How about you? I hope this will motivate and inspire you to clean, declutter, and organize your home.

Living in a simple and minimal home is such a great lifestyle. You don’t have to clean more and your house won’t get cluttered easily, coz you don’t have so many things to clean and organize.

I’ll see you again in the next post.

Love y’all 😘💕

HOW I ORGANIZE MY FREEZER

Hi…

If you’re new to my blog, please follow so you don’t miss all the fun😀

I will share a bit of everything I know, learn, do, use, like, or everything else. Well… Practically a bit of everything. *There’s a lot of everything there*

As promised, today I share with you how I organize my freezer.

I used to drop everything inside my freezer. And every time I wanted to cook, I gotta dig through all of those bags. Everything mixed on top of each other @.@. My freezer got so dirty from those fish, chicken, beef. Yuck! Then I came up to this idea. Inspired from those kind moms sharing their home organization.

photogrid_1476787869523

I use kitchen bins to separate the foods. On top shelf are ice bucket, 2 ice packs, 1 kitchen bin where I keep my smoothie bags (and I keep ice creams in that bin when I have extra budget). Check out my SMOOTHIE HACKS!.

On the lower shelf are 2 kitchen bins. 1 for my packet foods such as chicken nuggets, chicken wings, potato fries, meatballs, tempura, etc. Just an easy grab and fry for hectic days when I don’t have time to cook, such as breakfast. The other bin is for raw meats. Fish, prawn, beef, chicken, etc.

As you can see, I still have more room and its very easy to clean. Just take a bin when its empty at the end of the week, wash them, and re-use them for your next meal plan.

Give me a star if you find it inspiring and motivates you 🙂

With love…

WALKING CLOSET TOUR

Hi…

Welcome back! 😘

And hello to you who’s new to my blog. If you like organization, please hit the ‘follow’ button… I’d love to have you as my blog family 😉

As you all know, I’ve just recently moved to a new house. It’s our own house. We’re not renting anymore. So… I make sure that I have a walking closet as hubby was designing the house 😁 And I do!!! Soooooooo happy!!! 😘😘😘

I’d like to take you to my walking closet. Welcome! Please come in! 😄

This is so new… So I’m sure there will be some changes here and there. But for now, this looks good. Don’t you think? Well, it works for me 😉

Hubby take use of our old closet to build this. We don’t actually spent more money coz we reuse almost everything. Unless for the basket which is very cheap. So please… Don’t mind some flaws 😄

Let me show you…

This is what’s on the top shelf.

On the left side, I put 3 basket for tank tops, shorts and extra hangers.

On the right shelf, I put 2 baskets for my PJs and my jeans hotpants & skirts + 1 small bin for my accessories. I don’t wear accessories everyday. Only for special occasions such as parties. So, that small bin is very sufficient 😁

Behind those…

I keep my extra bags which are too big to hang. And in that container is where I keep my clutches and wallets.

If you have lots of tanks and shorts to wear at home, you definitely needs baskets. I don’t wear anything else other than tanks and shorts at home. I have so much of them and it’ll look cluttered if you just piled them on top of each other. And when you take one, it’ll ruin the others and you need to straighten them again 🙄 I use these baskets and I just throw everything inside, they’re invisible. Very pleasing to my eyes 😁

This is what’s on the bottom…

The left side… I hang my tops. I tried to organize it color wise, like most people I see on YouTube does. But it doesn’t work for me. It makes me ‘think’. You know what I mean? I have to think what color is supposed to be in what section and all 🤔

Then I tried to organize it material wise. Nope, it doesn’t work either 😑

So, I just do what works for me. I organize it from sleeveless to long sleeves. It’s sooooo much more easier for me.

In Indonesia, we don’t wear clothes on seasons. We choose our clothes on the venues. For example… We don’t find it appropriate to wear sleeveless or shorts to our kid’s school. So, we wear something more decent. But it doesn’t apply when I go to a mall or shopping for instance. For weddings, I wear strapless or maxi dress to non-Muslim weddings and I’ll wear something more covered to a Muslim weddings. That’s what I implemented to myself. You might do differently.

And under the tops, I keep my jeans & leggings. Hang my bags and some hangers.

How I hang my bags.

I’m using 2 hangers together to support the weight of my bags. I hang them with hooks. The hooks was used in the kitchen to hung my pans. Now I have a cabinet to keep my pans, so I reuse the hooks 😁

On the left side…

I keep my dresses. I organize length wise. So, again I have to consider where I’m wearing the dress to. Is it too short for the people there? It’s all about presenting yourself and be wise on what you wear if you don’t want to be the topic of the night 😂

That orange giant suitcase is my wardrobe capsule. I’ll talk about it in the next post. I don’t have anywhere else to put it coz it’s very heavy. It’ll stay there for now. I’ll find somewhere else, coz I don’t like it there 😑

Next to it is my documents container and underneath that are drawers for me and hubby.

It’ll definitely changed at some points. But, it works for now. I’m happy 😄

Thank you so much for joining me. Don’t forget to follow if you haven’t 😎

Love y’all 😘😘😘
